Support Acts For Earth Tour Announced

Seattle drone-metal pioneers Earth are hitting these shores this week for three dates around the country and some hefty locals acts have been selected to support the group's sojourn on these shores. Joining Dylan Carson and band for their Dunedin show on Thursday is Gate, the solo project of indie-rock patriarch Michael Morley (The Dead C). The following evening in Wellington the group will be welcomed with ear-bending sonics provided by local act Melting Faces. Then for their final show in Auckland, two acts have been locked down: post-metallers Mothra and psychedelic desert rock outfit Greenfog. During the performances Earth will be playing material from their tenth album Primitive And Deadly, which due out September and is tipped to feature the gravelly vocal tones of Mark Lanegan.
