Listen: Louie Knuxx - Sand (ft Tom Skott and Lui Tuiasau)

Following a seven year absence from New Zealand, rapper Louie Knuxx is back in the country and poised to drop his sophomore album PGT/GRR (Progressive Gangsta Thug slash Gentleman Romance Rap). The record follows the New Plymouth native's 2006 album Wasted Youth and has been five years in the making, seeing Knuxx bring a more mature palate to his music. Fluid single 'Sand' features vocal contributions from Tom Skott (Home Brew, @peace) and Lui Tuiasau alongside Knuxx's own unique flow, the three rappers gliding over slow, bassy rhythms that are occasionally broken by childlike tinkering created by Jay Knight (who tackles production duties on several of the album's tracks). PGT/GRR is due out July 4th, in the meantime check out 'Sand' below...
