Listen: Viet Cong - Static Wall

Formed from half of former art-rock act Women, the recently gathered group Viet Cong is sharing single 'Static Wall' ahead of the release of their debut EP titled Cassette. The Calgary-based four piece brings together ex-Women vocalist/bassist Matt Flegel and drummer Mike Wallace, along with guitarists Scott Munro and Danny Christiansen to make music that has been branded as "labyrinthine post-punk". This latest single though sees a very psychedelic sonic approach, opening with chirping synths followed by melodic vocals and dreamy guitar lines. The Cassette EP originally appeared as a tour only tape, but will be coming out digitally and on vinyl early July through Mexican Summer. Take a listen to 'Static Wall' below...
