Live Photos: All Seeing Hand, Orchestra of Spheres and Seth Frightening - Wellington
Genre-mashing trio All Seeing Hand is two-third of the way through a countrywide tour, taking with them experimental folk outfit Seth Frightening as support. This weekend saw the superb double-bill back in their hometown of Wellington to play a set at Valhalla, with the outlandish Orchestra of Spheres getting in on the act. All Seeing Hand are gaining lots of attention for their unique sound, which combines elements of turntablism, Mongolian throat-singing and wild drumming that they use to full effect in their live shows. While on tour they have released third album Fog & Debris, which stitches together a series of out-takes from their first two albums, and Seth Frightening is also poised to unveil album But We Love Our Brothers and Sisters later this month. The All Seeing Hand's 10-date tour will see them in Auckland and Whanganui next weekend and then in Palmerston North to wrap it up the following Friday. Check out some awesome shots of their Wellington show as captured by Xander Dixon...
