Listen: Bernie Griffen And The Thin Men - Precious Love

Local country legend Bernie Griffen is sharing single 'Precious Love' ahead of the release new album Salvation, recorded with his recently gathered back-up band The Thin Men. The new star-studded group features the musical talents of Kirsten Warner, Jol Mulholland, Matthias Jordan, Louise Evans, Steve Roach, Mike Hall and Chris O'Connore. The unveiling of 'Precious Love' follows on the heels of single 'I'm Crying Too', which is currently receiving generous airplay and is a more sombre affair than it's successor. The 11-track album was tracked earlier this year at Auckland studio The Lab and is stamped with Griffen's trademark storytelling, featuring characters that run the gamut of outlaw and saviour. Salvation is due for release on 19th September and will be followed by a handful of release shows around the Auckland region. Bernie Griffen and the Thin Men will be playing on 25th September at The Tuning Fork in Auckland, the following night will see the band joined by The Nukes for a show at the Titirangi RSA, which is followed by another double-bill show at Leigh Sawmill Cafe on the 28th September.
