Video: The All Seeing Hand - Lying Dead, With A Bar Of Soap (UTR Premiere)

Wellington-based mind melters The All Seeing Hand have unleashed a new video for 'Lying Dead, With A Bar Of Soap', taken from their phenomenal 2013 album Mechatronics. The hair-raising clip was directed by Rhys Morgan and shot over one day in a tiny, leaky garage in Mt Victoria. Morgan says after listening to the track for the first time he was immediately affected with images of dark, cultish sorcery and tribalism, and wanted to encapsulate that feeling into one sordid character. And hence the "mage" was born. Portrayed by the group's throat-singer Jonny Marks, who was coated in flour, white paint and toilet paper for the role, the mage (archaic slang for a magician) creates a male and female from smoke and fire - then sends them out to destroy. "The video in no way reflects what the band members are like in person," Morgan says, "they are the nicest, most intelligent tea-drinking chaps I've met". Feast your eyes on the darkness below...
