Deadpan songstress Courtney Barnett played her idiosyncratic folk tunes to a packed-like-sardines crowd at the Kings Arms Tavern last night, with support from local alt-rock duo Glass Owls. The Melbourne-based artist's show was highly anticipated off the back off her two EPs, I’ve Got A Friend Called Emily Ferris (2012) and How To Carve A Carrot Into A Rose (2013), which have been combined into popular double EP album, A Sea Of Split Peas. As promised (in our interview with her over here), Barnett brought with her songs from both of the earlier releases, as well as playing tracks from her new album, which is in the works and is due out early next year.
