Live Photos: Will Wood - Meow, Wellington
On Sunday night the musically multitalented Will Wood wrapped up a string of shows around the country with a final performance at Meow in Wellington. Wood, who is well-known as the drummer behind the kit of such acts as Luckless and Parents, has just released his debut solo album of heart-wrenching country tunes entitled Broken Man through Lyttelton Records. His short tour around the country saw the Auckland-based artist play a handful of shows with various combinations of backing artists, and his set in the capital city was no exception, seeing him supported by Bill Hickman and Ebony Lamb prior to hitting the stage, Wood paired up with Ebony for a duet before launching into his own solo set. Wood is currently en route to Europe where he will be touring solo for a couple of months with his brand new brass guitar. Take a look at some of the shots captured by photographer Damian McDonnell at Sunday nights show...
