Auckland trio Lord of Tigers, which blends together members from Cobra Khan and Sommerset, have unleashed their eponymous debut album. Opening single, 'The Ruler Of Eagles' Reaches', is a sludgy-blues number that emerged during a jam session a couple of years ago, which put the three-piece on the path of the new musical venture that would eventually become Lord of Tigers. Last year the trio had a full dance card, supporting acts like Converge, High On Fire and Killing Joke, but they managed to squeeze in a couple of recording sessions at Roundhead Studios during the winter months.
