Neneh Cherry Tipped To Play Two NZ Shows
Trip hop pioneer Neneh Cherry has been tipped to be performing two New Zealand shows next year. Her Auckland performance comes as part of the Auckland Arts Festival in March, and while in the country Cherry will also be visiting Wellington for a show. The Swedish-born musician has seen as resurgence of fandom since the release of her first solo record in 18 years, Blank Project, which came out earlier this year and sonically departs from her earlier work. Cherry says the album musically mourns the death of her mother, while being "very much about being here and now rather than being trapped or trying to recreate some kind of nostalgia".
