Live Photos: CW Stoneking - King Street Live, Masterton
Australian jungle blues musician CW Stoneking marked the midway point of his New Zealand tour last night with a swinging show at King Street Live in Masterton. Stoneking's third visit to these shores follows the recent release of his record Gon' Boogaloo, however the gruff-voiced performer dipped into his back catalogue during the set, which was supported by a band of fellow Australian musicians (including back-up singers Maddy and Memphis Kelly, daughters of songwriting legend Paul Kelly). The lively show was punctuated with tales of travelling through Africa, Jimmy Rogers and a bit of yodelling thrown in for good measure. Photographer Gerry Le Roux was on hand to capture some excellent shots from the evening's entertainment, for photos from Wednesday night's Auckland show by Tim Carter, head over here...
See below for the details of CW Stoneking's remaining shows in Wellington, Dunedin and Christchurch.
