Listen: John Carpenter - Night

Master of horror John Carpenter is preparing to release his first-ever album of original music and in anticipation has shared second hair-raising single 'Night'. Directorial credits under the 66-year-old's name include The Fog, Escape From L.A, Halloween and Christine, as well as having composed music for dozens of television and film projects. These days Carpenter has retired from directing and instead is focussing on his musical output, carving out cinematic darkwave offerings like the instrumental below and earlier single 'Vortex'. The upcoming album, titled Lost Themes, is due out in March via Sacred Bones, who are also releasing a new record from San Fran space-rock twosome Moon Duo in the next few months...
