Auckland outfit The Nightshades pulls together the prolific trio of Dave Weir (New Gum Sarn), Perry Mahoney (Civil Union, Bargain Bin Laden,) and Mike Ellis (Surf City) who collectively carve out psychedelic-pop with a garage rock twist. The three-piece have been slaving away on debut record Dope Sick (as in, totally dope and fully sick) in a storage shed that catered to their zero dollar budget, and is set to see the light of day on 14th February with help of local label Arcade Recordings, but you can listen to swirling first single 'Chew My Teeth' right now...
The Nightshades will be playing on 17th February at the Wine Cellar in Auckland, stay tuned for more details.
