More Acts Added To Westfest 2015 Line-Up

The already monstrous line-up for Westfest 2015 has just grown even bigger with the addition of four more acts to the bill. Joining the likes of Faith No More, Soundgarden, Judas Priest, Antemasque, Frenzal Rhomb and the slew of other bands that were announced last year will be joined of Scandinavian black metal outfit Mayhem and Las Vegas post-hardcore group Falling In Reverse, as well as local groups Killing Yourself For Profit and Depths. WESTFEST 2015 just got hotter than hell with four bands added to the festival
MAYHEM, FALLING IN REVERSE, DEPTHS, KILLING YOURSELF FOR PROFIT

Scandanavian Black Metal pioneers MAYHEM will join the westie inspired ruckus that is WESTFEST 2015. Formed in Norway in 1984, their 30 year history is a story that reads something like an Edgar Allan Poe novel with murder, suicide, church burnings, members pioneering the use of corpse paint and referring to themselves as Dead, Occultus, and Telloch. Bass player Necrobutcher has been in the band since its inception taking a small break during a chaotic time in the band’s history in the nineties, and drummer Hellhammer has been on the throne since 1988. The notorious MAYHEM will bring a touch of Scandanavia, not to mention darkness and chaos to this year’s WESTFEST.

FALLING IN REVERSE are a post hardcore band from Las Vegas. Formed by lead singer Ronnie Radke whilst serving time in jail for battery related charges, the bands early demos were recorded while Ronnie was still inside. Before his incarceration Ronnie was the front man for Escape The Fate who are also appearing at West Fest. Falling In Reverse will bring their unique blend of pop and metal core to WESTFEST 2015

DEPTHS are from Palmerston North. Bringing a modern, aggressive approach to Death Metal DEPTHS have been making their mark on the New Zealand heavy music scene since their inception in 2010. With their crushing sound and passionate, pulverizing live performances they instantly showed that they are an unnerving force to be reckoned with. After countless tours up and down the country, supporting numerous international acts, they proved their position as one of New Zealand's hardest working metal acts and were signed by Deadboy Records at the end of 2011. Shortly after, the band re-released their mini album ‘Resurgence’ with a bonus music video for their track ‘Of Nothing’ which went on to be featured on national television as well as appearing on the soundtrack to the FMX JAM 2 DVD which was released with 40,000 copies of Crusty Demons’ own Crusty Magazine.

KILLING YOURSELF FOR PROFIT is a five piece metal/hardcore band from Auckland. Combining the efforts of local metal juggernauts Burn the Scripture, Fuelset and Upraw. KYFP brandishes a heavier dose of metal for New Zealand metalheads. With an emphasis on delivery, KYFP guarantees a brutal display of fast paced and heavy mayhem! The band is inspired by the likes of Lamb of God, Parkway Drive and The Acacia Strain.
