Video: Fantasing - Instant Fantasy (UTR Premiere)

Feminist primal-rock-band-slash-art-collective Fantasing have unleashed a new video for their single 'Instant Fantasy', lifted from their 2013 EP Ethereal Raunch. The group, which is made up of Gemma Syme (Diana Rozz, Trimasterbate, 47 Diamantes), Claire Harris, Sarah Jane Parton and Bek Coogan (Cortina, Full Fucking Moon, Sheville), initially wrote the tune as an earnest homage to Gemma's favourite food - bacon. Eventually it evolved to a song about instant gratification, inspired in part by the seminal 1972 album 666 from Greek prog-rock legends Aphrodite’s Child’s, while still encompassing pork-related metaphors alongside references to black magic, sex and Satan.

The video was created as part of Instant Fantasy's artist's residency at The Physics Room in Christchurch over the summer and features sky-filled post-quake landscapes of the city, as well as being littered with scenes of the band members performing in the spaces they occupied during the residency.
