
Video: Screaming Females - Hopeless

A new video has been shared by New Jersey trio Screaming Females for their single 'Hopeless'. The track is lifted from the group's sixth full-length album Rose Mountain and the clip was directed by their friend Lance Bangs, who has made videos for Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and loads more. After editing the live action together, the video was converted to 35mm film and then meticulously animated by the band's frontwoman Marissa Paternoster, as Bangs explains: "Marissa spent days obsessively scratching, bleaching, and hand animating the 5400 individual frames. To our knowledge I don’t think anyone has bothered to go through all of that hassle for a video before". Watch the fruit of her labour below...
