Weekly Round Up: Friday 20th March

Friday 20th March, 2015 12:33PM

This week's big tour news is the announcement that Fleetwood Mac are returning to New Zealand as a five-piece in October for two shows across Dunedin and Auckland. On top of that, we were happy to learn October will also bring unmistakable classic rock outfit Kiss to these shores for one show, and they will be bringing along their epic The Spider stage production. British drum 'n' bass producer Roni Size is coming over for three whirlwind shows in May with Dynamite MC. And Aussie surf-garage group La Bastard are kicking off a six-date tour of the country next week.

In local release news, Auckland five-piece Diana Tribute have let loose their debut EP, Imbibing, via recently formed label Freezing Works Music. Stoner-doom trio Greenfog (who are heading on a nationwide tour with Caroles in April) have unveiled their new album Bruce Farm, which is named after the Whanganui locale it was recorded at. Looking abroad, Earl Sweatshirt shared dark new video for 'Grief' from his new album, which was slated for release later in the month but got dropped this week on iTunes - causing a little Twitter kerfuffle. And the Bloc Party (whose frontman, Kele, is in Auckland for a show this Saturday) have revealed they have ended their hiatus and are working on a fifth album, previewing new track 'Exes' on Australian radio station, Triple J.

This week's Caught Live is the Screaming Females, who are currently taking part in SXSW, performing 'Triumph' from their new album Rose Mountain at an intimate show at Caledonia Lounge in Athens, Georgia...
