Friday night saw Auckland trio X-Ray Fiends officially release their Herpes 7-inch vinyl with a gig at Whammy Bar. The three-track release was recorded and mixed by the now Castlemaine-based engineer Alex Bennett of Sound Recordings and includes a killer version of Black Sabbath's track 'Sweet Leaf'. Supporting the three-piece for the release show was local acts Shoutin' Preachin' and The Echo Ohs, and photographer Joon Yang was there to snap up all the red-light action....
