Here's Five: P.H.F.

Here's Five: P.H.F.

Tuesday 5th May, 2015 10:26AM

Prolific bedroom producer PHF has a handful of live shows lined up to support the vinyl release of his fantastic album Grind State. The emotional 12-track synth-pop-punk-rock offering came out earlier this year via Crystal Magic Records on the heels of 2013 full-length release VOID, and is now available on wax through Pyramid Power. With one tour date down and three to go, UnderTheRadar caught up with the elusive Auckland musician (who generally records solo but tours with a band) to ask for a top five list. We encouraged him decide on his own theme, and so without further ado here is P.H.F's "TOP 5 CUTE SHIT". All caps, no apologies...

1. Forth Wanderers - 'Blondes Have More Fun'

OMG I LOVE THIS GIRL SHE IS MY FAV. ALL THE VOCAL MELODIES ON THIS ALBUM ARE SO SIMPLE AND TO BE HONEST U CAN TELL EVERYONE IN THIS BAND HAS LIKE A MUSIC DEGREE OR SOME SHIT.

2. Forth Wanderers - 'Tough Love'
LIKE I DONT CARE I JUST LOVE IT

3. Tyler, The Creator - 'Smuckers' Feat. Lil Wayne & Kanye West
THE NU ALBUM IS P SICK - HE GOT GOOD FEATS ON IT AND THE PRODUCTION IS FUCKIN MEAN. THIS & 2SEATER ARE CUTE BUT THE BANGER IS HANDS DOWN STAINS OF DARKEESE - ITS GOES OFF SO HARD

4. Lil Wayne - 'Single'
THIS SONG IS CUTE AS FUCK - IT REMINDS ME OF SOME SPECIFIC SHIT BUT THAT AINT NONE OF UR BUSINESS TBH. THIS ALBUM WAS P WEAK THOUGH BUT WHATEVER THERE WAS LIKE 3 BANGERS.
