Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Announce July Shows

Tuesday 12th May, 2015 9:30AM

All five members of formative gangsta rap group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony are coming to New Zealand for the first time. Having tucked an impressive 11 album under their belts since forming in 1992, Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone and Flesh-N-Bone will be hitting up Christchurch and Auckland in early July to lay down some of their classic joints, presumably alongside some jams from their final album E.1999 Legends (of which only one copy is to be sold  à la Wu-Tang Clan's Once Upon A Time In Shaolin). Core members Krayzie Bone and Wish Bone were scheduled to come to New Zealand for one show in 2012, however the gig was cancelled at the last minute due to travel hiccups. Here are the details for the upcoming shows...

New Zealand Tour July 2015.

Iconic rap & hip hop group ‘Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’ have announced that they will be returning for a whirlwind tour of Australia and New Zealand this July, and for the first time will see all 5 members from group performing all their classic material.

The Grammy Award-winning group from Cleveland, Ohio, consists of rappers Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone and Flesh-N-Bone, will embark on their first Australian & New Zealand as a whole group. Catch ‘Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’ playing back to back shows in Christchurch, Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.

Since making their mainstream debut in the early 90’s ‘Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’ has been an icon in the hip-hop world. With over 30 million albums sold worldwide, and tracks recorded with some of the most respected names in the business including the likes of 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G, to Mariah Carey.

In 1995, the band released a tribute album to late rap superstar “Eazy-E” and was named after Eazy’s CD, Eternal E. Eazy-E was instrumental in ‘Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’ initial success and they were signed to his Ruthless Records label. The album would give them their first #1 hit single on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart and The Billboard Rap Track Chart with the single “Tha Crossroads”. This would lead to the group winning an Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by A Duo Or Group in 1997, along with American Music Awards in 1997 and 1998.

With 11 studio albums and 5 Greatest Hits packages and compilations, expect to hear some classic Bone Thugs N Harmony never witnessed here before with all members.

With limited capacities, tickets are not expected to last long.
