Listen: La Luz - You Disappear
Ty Segall has put his fuzzy footprint all over the new album from Seattle surf-rockers La Luz. The band are sharing the swimming new single 'You Disappear' from their sophomore record Weirdo Shrine, which follows 2012 album It's Alive and will drop in August through Hardly Art.
According to frontwoman Shana Cleveland, prolific garage shredder Segall came onboard as the producer and the main order of business was to get them cranking the distortion. "I'd never used fuzz before. I’ve always used pretty minimal effects on the guitar. Sometimes I use a tiny bit of delay, but mostly I use tons of reverb and leave it at that," she told Spin. "But he just kept going, ‘Yeah, that was great, but let’s try it with the fuzz pedal on". Take a dip in 'You Disappear' below...
