The Wellington Jazz Festival was in full swing over the weekend and Auckland outfit Carnivorous Plant Society took part with a show at Meow on Saturday evening. The five-piece, led by trumpet and keyboard player Finn Scholes, took to the stage in lucha libre masks to deliver their mind-melting mix of Mexican mariachi and sci-fi space sounds, using an intriguing array of instruments.
