Listen: Empress Of - Kitty Kat

Empress Of is the solo moniker of Spanish-American musician Lorely Rodriquez, who is hitting the ground running with the announcement of her debut album Me. To give us a taste of things to come Rodriquez has shared potent single 'Kitty Kat', which is based on her experiences of being cat called while in Mexico.

The New York-based artist has drawn favourable comparisons to FKA Twigs with her high-pitched vocals, confrontational lyrics and experimental synthpop sonics. And on top of that, Me was produced, recorded and engineered entirely by Rodriquez over the course of 2014.  The album will be released on 11th September via Terrible Records, and judging by what we've heard so far we are looking forward to it.
