STELLARIZE (SOLO)

Stellarize is the project of Canadian singer and songwriter Dee Corcoran. Dee has spent a number of years travelling the world with her guitar, performing and absorbing the sounds of many places she's been. Her songs are their own journey through all the same places and experiences of her travels. Now based in Wellington, New Zealand, Dee has turned Stellarize out into an alt-country, psych-rock caramel quartet, though on this night she will be performing solo - Playing a stripped back set on her own to introduce herself to you folks in Christchurch.

VIOLET FRENCH

It all began in Dunedin, and it all made sense in Christchurch. Writing songs with authority and a sure handle on the nuances of her craft. Her guitar playing swings and her lyrics argue for a personality which is sharp, sympathetic and observes the poetry in small moments. Her songs serve as sardonic litanies to the soul sucking, crushing minutiae of the everyday. She is Violet French, and she waits for no man.

Petit Poisson is the solo project of a die-hard emo fan, who also has the rare versatility, and panache, to play acoustic music. Combining delicate storytelling and emotive language with simple, effective and incredibly nuanced instrumentation, Petit Poisson is music to serve every one of your feelings.
