Dillastrate Feat Laughton Kora

Driven by a deep love for live performance, Dillastrate has toured extensively, as well as regularly supporting Kiwi greats such as Katchafire and Sons of Zion on their national tours. The duo has also frequently played an impressive number of major New Zealand music festival stages, including Northern Bass, Rhythm & Vines and Electric Avenue. They have also performed at the very popular New Years’ Eve in Hagley Park in Christchurch, which has seen Dillastrate perform their high-energy, funk-laced set to tens of thousands.

Joining the Dillastrate party at Cassette Nine is the one and only Laughton Kora. Laughton Kora, with his incredible voice and immense talent has been at the forefront of New Zealand music for over the past decade. Laughton has jammed with Dillastrate on past shows and it has gone off! This is going to be one electrifying collaboration you do not want to miss!

Jimi Kara has had an incredible career so far. Not only has he featured in the Fly My Pretties cast, he’s also supported Ozzy Osbourne, George Clinton & P-Funk, Elton John, Joe Satriani and Slash. Jimi Kara & The Buzz enthralled audiences around New Zealand last year when they played a tribute to Aaron Tokona and Ahoribuzz. Jimi will bust out some sweet buzz jams and shred that guitar until his fingers bleed.

Producer/drummer Jason Peters aka Kong Fooey aka DJ Fooey will kick off the evenings entertainment with some delicious funked up electro break beats.
