Shepherds Reign and Guests

SHEPHERDS REIGN are saddling up to hit the skies soon for their FIRST INTERNATIONAL SHOW at BLACKEN OPEN AIR FESTIVAL and so they decided they needed an occasion for it!

Hailing from the deep Polynesian stronghold of South Auckland, SHEPHERDS REIGN have stamped their powerful mark on the New Zealand and international music scene in a very short amount of time, creating a huge buzz from their live shows. Combining the traditional and ancient music of their forefathers with modern rock and metal influences including bands like Gojira, Avenged Sevenfold and Dream Theater, Shepherds Reign have found their own unique sound in a cluttered and overblown musical environment.

A fifteen date tour of New Zealand as special guests of Devilskins’ RED NZ tour 2020 cemented a place for Shepherds Reign as a force to be reckoned with and won them a huge swathe of new fans. Paul Martin, bassist for Devilskin and producer of The Axe Attack commented “I totally knew our audience would love these guys! I can’t remember being this excited over a band for a long time. They completely blow me away with everything they do, attitude, commitment, passion and an unashamedly distinctive sound. But the real magic is in the songs. Powerful, compelling and totally undeniable.”

Shepherds Reign have the chemistry, the heart, power and especially the songs to hit the international stages alongside any of their heroes. Look out for 2021 as they head into international territory. Welcome to their Aiga.

Sharing the stage for the first time with CORIDIAN, an alternative rock group from Auckland, New Zealand. Formed in 2015. The band consists of Mike Raven (Guitar), Kris Raven (Drums), Nick Raven (Bass) & Dity Maharaj (Vocals). As ‘Ambient Light’ described them, “Raven brothers (Mike, Kris and Nick respectively) work as a well-oiled machine; the gear box of which is Maharaj, his vocals taking the band from a hum to a scream within seconds”(Ambient Light)

They've worked with some of the best names in NZ and Australian music including Zorran Mendonsa (BlackList/City Of Souls), Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Shihad) and Ermin Hamidovic (Architects/Intervals).

They've toured extensively around NZ, including their own headlining tours and performing with high profile NZ acts such as Devilskin, City of Souls, I AM GIANT, Skinny Hobos & Written by Wolves as well as international acts such as P.O.D (USA), Fuel (USA), Fozzy (USA), Sumo Cyco (CAN) & Red Sea (AUS).

2021 will see Coridian play multiple shows across NZ once again, while putting the finishing touches on their album writing/recording ‘Hava’ and releasing a string of singles throughout the rest of the year.

And finally, sharing the stage for the second time, together they supported the legends CORROSION OF CONFORMITY back in 2020, Just One Fix will be quick to open up the night for all our folks. This is sure to be a great line up so come on down and join the buzz!
