Spaced Out Tour

Vox Venus and little weird are continuing on a galactic adventure, joined by sonic physicist DJ Mighty Jabsco. We're teaming up with Whaingaroa locals Teamsquad to bring a whole lot of spaced out goodness to the Yot Club!

Celestial synth duo Vox Venus make music from the inner realms of outer space. Hannah de Koster and Heather Bolton combine inventive rhythms, magical hooks and mind-altering vintage synths to transport listeners to new dimensions of sound.

little weird is the beautiful collision of two different musical galaxies. Jazz and soul musician Sarah Radford and rock musician Nick Jones write music that focuses on groove and harmonies, with lyrics that are a commentary on the social and ecological issues that surround us.

Whaingaroa-based duo TeamSquad blend crisp keyboards, heavy synthesizers, acoustic drums and soulful vocals into a cosmic take on R&B they call ‘Retro Future Soul’. With influences ranging from Hiatus Kaiyote, Lianne LaHavas and Alfa Mist, to Three Trapped Tigers, Strobes and Radiohead: TeamSquad meld their love of different styles into a smooth journey through 1980s soundtrack-tinged hallucinations.
