Tour Information
A fundraiser to help protect the precious fauna and flora at north Auckland's Okura Bush featuring three diverse local acts.

Henika
Talented multi-instrumentalist and producer, Henika will be playing songs from her upcoming album Strange Creatures made using sampled native bird calls. Her 'band' features the Tui on beats, Korimako on hooks, Kokako on chords and Kakapo on bass. Plus many other native taonga interwoven with vocals, synths, guitars and theremin.

The RVMES
The RVMES! (pronounced ‘The Rooms’ for the confused). Based in Auckland and known for their hard lean into blending and weaving genres.
Led mainly by indie alternative rock, they take influence from The Doors, Dean Martin, sexy Latin grooves, early roots reggae - you name it and they'll give it a spin.

Big Tasty
A nine piece funk and soul band from Auckland, the talented Big Tasty are always full of energy and great vibes.

All proceeds go to Friends of Okura Bush, a registered charity and group of volunteers carrying out conservation work in the area.

About Friends of Okura Bush:
Friends of Okura Bush (FOOB) are a group of like-minded people from various backgrounds who are passionate about the preservation of our natural world. After years of enjoying the Okura Bush, we became aware of the diminishing sounds of a dying forest. A decision was made to get together and form a group in order to protect and enhance the biodiversity of this precious patch of remnant forest. We are actively engaged in controlling biological pollution such as noxious weed and pest animals within the Okura Bush and its surrounding natural areas.
