Tour Information
After the inaugural hosting in 2019, Slow Note returns bigger - and more ambitious - to close out 2021: six stages of poetry and music at four venues across three days!

Slow Note 2021 will bring together a couple dozen of Aotearoa's most exciting emerging and established artists hosted across a number of homely and humble spaces throughout Te Whanganui-a-Tara.

The three-day, all-ages, festival of art will unfurl across Wellington on 26-28 November. Eschewing any particular style or medium, Slow Note is focused on bringing communities together through a shared ethos of connection and emotion.

In 2019, Slow Note saw artists such i.e. crazy’s gothic folklore, the intractable guitars of milk, and emo forerunners Carb on Carb grace various halls and backyards throughout Wellington. As the festival line-up for 2021 is revealed in the coming weeks, attendees can expect a similarly diverse variety of poets, bands and electronic artists from across the motu.

The full-line up will be released in early October, coinciding with a release party on Saturday 2 October at Commonspace in central Wellington.

As an all-ages festival, Slow Note centers community and accessibility, with a view to inspiring reflection and creativity by recognising and appreciating the spaces and communities around us. Slow Note helps widen the path for those who want to discover, explore and connect with new ideas through art.

Limited early bird passes are available now from undertheradar.co.nz.

Slow Note 2021 is presented by Upoko Alpine Industries, with thanks to Synthstrom Audible and Wellington City Creative Communities Scheme.
