The Wendys Lo-Fi Lies Single Release Tour

Aotearoa's only surf life saving, rock'n'roll band, THE WENDYS, are hitting the road this summer for a 4-date tour of Te Waipounamu in support of their new single 'Lo-Fi Lies'.

Dressed as lifeguards, The Wendys mix of surf rock and garage punk has saved the lives of the musically drowned, across the motu, since 2014. The band are notorious for their out of control, high octane performances and contagious, surf inspired songs such as ‘Get In The Flags’, ‘Let’s Go To The Beach’ and ‘Dropping In’.

‘Lo-Fi Lies’ is the first single from the forthcoming debut album, produced by Ryan Fisherman at the Hut recording studio in Ōtautahi. The single will be released on limited edition 7” lathe cut record made by Johnny Electric Lathe Cuts and available on your favourite streaming service from Friday 7 January, 2022.

Joining them in Joining them in Ōtepoti are the indie-rock, folk-pop songstress, Neive Strang and Ōtautahi's Bin Day, bringing their punk rock bangers & trash to Ōtepoti for the first time!
