Māia Huia is an Artist and Producer based in Tāmaki-Makaurau. Her mix of old-school influences and unique fresh sounds, spawns tracks that are a rich tapestry of her eclectic collection of influences. With a penchant for live instrumentation and human feel, combined with a love of sample-style arrangements inspired by hip-hop and RnB, Huia creates soundscapes typified by infectious bass-heavy grooves, lush harmonies, and her signature vocal and guitar stylings that range from sweet and sensitive croons to throttle-by-the-collar roars, that could perhaps be best described as RnB for hearty bitches.
