Fazerdaze

Ahead of the release of her forthcoming EP Break! due on October 14, Fazerdaze today announces two Aotearoa shows for November, performing at Wellington’s San Fran on Friday November 25, and Auckland’s Hollywood Avondale on Saturday November 26.

The Wellington and Auckland shows will be Fazerdaze’s anticipated return to the stage, her first live performances in Aotearoa since January 2020. Both shows will be supported by US-based carwash and rising NZ-Korean musician hanbee.

About the shows, Fazerdaze shares: “I’m really looking forward to playing a bunch of new music and reconnecting with my NZ fans. I’m also just excited by our support acts; I have been a fan of carwash for such a long time and he just happens to be in NZ during these shows. I only recently discovered hanbee but I find her and her music so fresh and inspiring. It’s going to be a nice show and we are going to have zines available and new merch for sale.”

Fazerdaze triumphantly returned in July with ‘Come Apart’, followed up by the EP title-track ‘Break’ released with new USA based label section1.

About the forthcoming EP, Fazerdaze shares: “I wish I had broken earlier because it was one of the truest things I ever did for myself. This EP is about finally allowing myself to give up. It’s about severing from the people in my life that weren’t good for me, and ditching the false parts of myself that were conditioned and not authentic. It’s everything I wasn’t allowing myself to feel over the past few years; angry, disappointed, cynical, exhausted and over it.”
