LEONARD POWELL 'SLOW MOVER' ALBUM LAUNCH

In celebration of his debut album 'Slow Mover' (out February 29, self-released), Leonard Powell & band will perform at the iconic Wine Cellar on Karangahape Road in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland.

Produced by Tom Broome over the past two years at his New Lynn Studio, 'Slow Mover' is packed with a variety of laughter, tears and tenderness. Silly in parts, serious in others, Powell showcases his wit and songwriting charm across the 8 tracks.

The album is a new direction for Powell, stepping out from behind the laptop from his previous alias 'Medium Pace' and into the world of live instrumentation. After giving up short-lived piano lessons as a child in favor of the sports field, serendipitous timing saw him buy his first guitar just before the March 2020 Covid-19 lockdown. 'Slow Mover' is the fruit of those explorations.
