Dr T And The Dangerous Women Going To The Moon(s)

A bourbon infused idea of The Dr that came to fruition on the Whare Flat Festival stage in 2022 and has developed more fully over time, Dr T & The Dangerous Women brings together a band of excellent musicians - Dr Twang, ringleader, guitar, vocals; Alexandra Bidwell, upright bass, bass guitar, cello; Sophia Bidwell, piano and accordion; Anna Bowen, fiddle and mandolin and Claire Louise, vocals. Joining us for this show will be Leigham Fitzpatrick.
The band focuses around Dr Twang’s country and Americana roots with original songs and obscure covers exploring the grittiness, heartbreak and joys of real life against a backdrop of the Southwest borderlands - you can almost hear the sound of the Santa Anna winds.
Two members of the band live in Christchurch so gigs are few and far between, the band only getting together for rehearsal the day before or on the day of the gig so there is always a bit of wheel spin on the curves!
