Returning south after the superb sold out album release tour of EBONY LAMB in late 2023, as well as supporting renowned USA alt country artists Calexico nationally and gaining a Silver Scroll nomination, don't miss this important artist's work up close and personal. Ebony's critically acclaimed album was produced by Bic Runga & Kody Nielson (UMO) & released on Nadia Reids Slow Time Records. Earning an enviable reputation amongst her contemporaries and music fans alike for her dynamic performances and prolific songwriting, Ebony has been compared to Gillian Welch, Cat Power and Neko Case. “If heaven is not within sight, it certainly is within hearing” William Dart - RNZ.
GRAM ANTLER
Reformed choirboy and post-alt-country, Jason Johnson presents Gram Antler as an anachronism, a man unstuck in time, so it goes. The songs of Poneke singer-songwriter, bass player, guitarist and session musician, Gram Antler (Ebony Lamb, Marlon Willams, French For Rabbits, Eb & Sparrow), aspire to be pop, but seem to congeal into a form that can only be described as Slacker Yacht-Rock. Hooky and melodic, and full of lush textures, the soon-to-be-released record GRAM ANTLER was written and recorded with award-winning Melbourne-based producer Brett Stanton (The Phoenix Foundation, Beastwars, Holly Smith).
KEIRA WALLACE
Ōtepoti singer/songwriter Keira Wallace unearths expansive yet intimate pockets of connection through their increasingly folk influenced sound. With consistent success in nation-wide competitions such as Smokefree Rockquest and the Lion Foundation Songwriting Competition, they had the inconceivable opportunity to open for musical inspiration Mount Eerie’s Ōtepoti show of his New Zealand tour. Keira recently featured on the Ōtepoti Music Compilation of gender diverse and female led music with their song, ‘Your Surface Settles’. Moved by the intricacy of humans and the parallels in the natural world around us, each song holds space for the beautiful, innate rawness that resides in us all
