Renamed after 20 years as New Zealand's hardest-working ska/rocksteady band, THE MANAGERS shared the stage with some of the world’s biggest ska and punk acts: The Skatalites, The Specials, The Beat, Bad Manners, The Vibrators, U.K. Subs, Cat Empire, Less Than Jake, Streetlight Manifesto, The Aggrolites, and countless other bands played with this Auckland institution for over two decades.

After two full-length albums, two EPs - including last year's acclaimed 'Grove Street tapes', three music videos, and new blood younger than some of their tour posters, The Managers decided it was time for new beginning.

Now, in 2012, from the ashtrays comes THE SKITZ, an energetic, brassy, badassy 8 piece who have risen to breathe new fire into New Zealand ska and reggae music.

Everything you loved about The Managers, but with more attitude... Huge Jamaican style grooves, manic guitar, catchy raw vocals, blistering horn lines, everything a sweaty dancefloor demands of this next-generation, reanimation of a ska sensation!
