.:. reyne is the second album by Te-Whanganui-a-Tara musican Reyne Robati. 

It’s a self reflective collection of songs born from the winds of change, and the love and loss carried with it.

Join reyne & friends on this fateful night as we celebrate the release of this wonderful album. With a full band in tow, the arrangements will be expansive and the mood deep. Expect to fall into a cavern of reminiscent bliss, to then be sucked back out by the howl of a wayward wolf, the lonesome flugelhorn of an older time.

The wondrous vocals will wash over you and cleanse you of all sin, admonishing the very thought of a world without communion and harmony.

With experienced musicians at the helm of this show, you can expect a large degree of onomatopeia to eminate from the audience. As the drummer lands a 32nd note triplet fill (oooo), and the guitarist stabs a chord straight into your heart (aaaa) and the synth sends you straight to heaven (weeeee) the audience and band will feel as one.

Joining him as support is:

Downriver, a folk group based in Nelson, New Zealand. Their music veers between the heartfelt homeland balladry of 70’s singer-songwriters and the existential melancholy of 90’s alternative.

AND

Simloco, a musican born and raised on the Kapiti Coast. Simloco’s sounds reflects his environment, chilled, laid back and beautifully mesmerising. A wizard and a dimension travelling lyrical mastermind, his music drifts between melodic acoustic jams and upbeat invigorating rhymes.
