Ben Chavasse 'Letdown' Single Release With Rita Mae

Ben Chavasse is a 26-year-old singer-songwriter based in Tāmaki Makaurau. His lyric-forward approach embraces the indie-folk genre while incorporating rock, punk, and jazz influences. He explores themes of adolescence, mental health, and reconciliation through an introspective, reflective and vulnerable lens. Ben continues to thrive in collaboration with local musicians he met during his studies at the University of Auckland Jazz School. This gig celebrates the release of his debut single 'Letdown', which comes out on the 26th June, 2025.

Rita Mae’s strength as a songwriter is at the core of all of her music. Her unique writing style, paired with evocative melodies and emotional lyricism are what sets her alternative pop music apart from the rest. After being named one of 8 Kiwi artists tipped to take over by Rolling Stone, Rita had 3 of her 5 tracks from her Kiss The Sky EP chart in the top 20 NZ Radio charts.
