In keeping with great Rock & Roll, Lord Rochester embrace the simplicity of sound and song using the maraca powered shuffle of artists such as Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry and Jimmy Reed to create stripped back, rhythm driven, rock and roll. A three piece combo that includes Russell Wilkins (The Milkshakes, The Delmonas, The Len Bright Combo and The Wildebeests) on Gretsch Electromatic Guitar (yes – the red rectangle!), Vocals and Harmonica and Saskia Holling (Sally Skull, The Nettelles and Thee Girl Fridays) on Bass and Vocals. Scotland’s best sounding (and best looking) rock and roll show have toured Japan, Australia (twice!) and Mexico, and played all over Europe and the UK. They have toured their native Scotland from the Borders to Aberdeenshire and from the Central Belt to the Highlands and not forgetting the Shetland Islands. Always entertaining and forever stylish, the band can bewitch an audience, large or small. Lord Rochester has performed live in session for the BBC, recorded at the famous Perrotti Studios in Gijon, Spain and provide the theme music for the ’Vic Galloway Show’ on BBC Radio Scotland. This October they venture to the far reaches of New Zealand ....
