The Undercurrent presents The Wooden Box Band!
With their latest studio album, Broken River, The Wooden Box Band are Finalists for the prestigious Aotearoa NZ Folk Awards.
The six piece urban folk band hail from from Wellington, and are known as the capital’s “folk darlings” with their unique blend of harmony vocals soaring above electric and acoustic guitars, keyboards, bass and drums with blasts of trumpet and violin rounding out the sound, which has been compared to the Mamas and the Papas, Woodstock acoustic bands and the Fleet Foxes.
Studio recordings, include My Sweet Town, Gentle Landings, Old World, Far Far Away, and now – Broken River.
Come and see them in the cosy intimate surrounds of the Undercurrent where you can enjoy food and drink and a good listening show.
