Cicada, Fine Wine Social Club & Bri Louise Band

On Thursday the 13th of November, come along to Valhalla for a phenomenal night of music from some of Wellington’s best.

For the last few years, CICADA have brought an electrifying, ragged folk-rock charisma to Wellington’s stages with songwriting that picks apart what life in our city is and could be. Playing their last show in Wellington (at least for now), they’ll make you headbang, laugh and weep openly to songs about earthquakes, missed buses, mental breakdowns and how much dating-whilst-trans can really suck sometimes.

FINE WINE SOCIAL CLUB play with soul, groove, and plenty of spark. Some of them have been making music together for over eight years, and you can hear that history in the way the band clicks on stage and lifts a room.

And BRI LOUISE BAND, consisting of Bri Louise (vocal/keys), Molly Wyatt (flute/vocals), Becky Devine (bass), Liam Reburn (guitar), Eloise Edmond (Saxophone) and Ateo Buhne (drums) blends sultry queerness with smooth love and undeniable groove. Their sound has roots in Gospel and Neo-Soul, evolving into a rich fusion of Jazz, Hip-Hop, and R&B.
