Seismic State Set To Shake New Plymouth!

Wellington rockers Seismic State hit the road and for the very first time will perform in New Plymouth.

They take to the Asgard stage bringing their upbeat blues/funk infused alternative rock for fans young, old, and everything in between.

Joined by locals Dark Water and The Groundsmen they will perform fan favourites 2 Homes, Blinded By The Sun, and Genius (all available to stream and buy at your favourite platform) as well as new material not yet heard beyond the band’s four members.

Bring your party attitude and your dancing shoes, this show is not to be missed!

Seismic State are; Sai (guitar), Liam (bass), Matthijs (drums), and Rogina (vocals & guitar).

In June 2021 they supported Auckland rockers, and Aotearoa Music Award winners, Dead Favours on their Riffing and Yelling tour. This was followed by inclusion in the lineup of Bayrock 2022 alongside legends Head Like a Hole, Stellar*, Zed, and Push Push, however the impact of covid restrictions caused the festival to be cancelled.

2024 was a big year for Seismic State, releasing blues influenced 2 Homes and hard rock banger Blinded By The Sun (which has become their most streamed track). 2025 is building towards even bigger tremors!

Their style mixes rock with elements of blues, funk, progressive and alternative - they combine riff-oriented guitar with melodic basslines and driving drum rhythms forming a foundation for creative vocal melodies and thought-provoking lyrics. The result is an accessible and sonically pleasing bland of music not often found in the rock scene.

Playing only original earthen rock punk, we always, always, perform at 110% energy levels and put on a great show with hooky uptempo toons!! With songs commenting on contemporary society and life at large all 3 members throw themselves fully into their performance and leave no energy unused. You will leave one of their shows changed.
