MIRIAM McCOMBE is a musician and songwriter originally from Bath, UK. Her music combines folky, lilting melodies and funky grooves, balancing waves of sadness with lyrical silliness. Miriam started out her career teaching singing in schools, leading choirs and performing with Bristol’s The Fantasy Orchestra as a conductor, lead vocalist and flautist, before moving to Aotearoa in 2019.
Deeply inspired by the vibrant Tāmaki music scene, Miriam wrote and released her first EP 'Weightless' in 2023, a self-produced collection of heartfelt songs documenting her tumultuous first few years in NZ. She’s currently working on her next recording project to begin releasing next year. Meanwhile, she’s pulled together a band of local indie music legends, has written and released a selection of children’s music with the beloved Suzy Cato and will be performing at the Auckland Folk Festival in January 2026.

Tāmaki Makaurau based songwriter and musician Greta O’Leary writes with clarity of vision, making introspective observations that seamlessly interlock with her spare, spacious and enthralling ‘spook-folk’ songcraft. Her debut album ‘River Dark’ a personal collection of ‘confession, truth and poetry’ debuted at #9 on the Aotearoa Album Charts this May.

Greta’s voice is ‘imbued with earthy, smokey tones’, ‘reminiscent of a hāngī pit’ - Under The Radar (NZ). After establishing herself as a rising figure in Aotearoa’s folk and alternative communities, Greta received an APRA Artist Mentoring Programme Award, leading to collaborations with producer Tom Healy. Since then, she has performed on several successful tours across Aotearoa, Te Waipounamu and Australia, while making appearances at Newtown Festival, Earthbeat, Performance Arcade, Wellington Gardens Magic Festival, and Te Papa’s Rongo Rehutai Summer Music Sessions. Greta’s breakthrough 2024 featured her singles, ‘Baby I’m a Singer’ and ‘Baptised at the Desktop Computer’ - both of which spent weeks in the SRN Top 10 (both peaking at #1), with the latter reached #1 on RadioScope’s Alt Chart.
