Mama mia!! They're on a boat... the mystery ketch in fact... yes that one!... it was spotted in Mapua, but it's changed hands since. Now the proud owner, musician and adventurer Nick Atkinson, has loaded it to gunwales with horns, tambourines and his favourite musicians for a wind driven gybe-fest around the Hauraki Gulf! Taking in Kawau, Rakino and Waiheke over three consecutive nights in early January the country's hottest jazz trio Love Square row the boat ashore with trombones blaring! Join us for reggae anthems, Latin and Cumbia jazz journeys and Afrobeat feels that will get your rollicks knocking.

Band leader Nick Atkinson hasn't quite recovered from his recent reunion tour with his high-school band Supergroove, who recently sold-out 14 dates around the nation. Along with band mates Finn Scholes and Alistair Deverick, Nick can often be found in our cities fairest theatres on-stage with the Come Together band performing classic albums with intricate detail and flare. Al and Finn are also island favs with their five-piece Carnivorous Plant Society and for fans of Hopetoun Brown who always thought there weren't enough sax solos in that band well, Love Square is for you.
