D-Day With Quixotic Minds

Closing out the month of love, four of Hamilton’s own powerhouse bands are set to storm Last Place for D-Day, delivering an impactful sonic collage of diverse sounds on Friday the 27th of February. Be ready to bust out the chains and air forces for a 90s/00s hip hop theme. (Any cool themed attire acceptable and encouraged)

Hamilton's funk kings Smokey Dayz are set to kick off the night with their award winning funktacular feel with a set studiously synthesized to keep your feet stomping and your hips rolling through the night.

High octane genre surfers Quixotic Minds are next on the card ready to switch gears after blasting the roof off of Monkey House, Whitianga over the New Years period. The boys will be ready to dose up the standard high energy funk rock package in celebration of their front mans 26th birthday.

H-town alt rock royalty Stone Clones will then take us on a journey traversing the dark wasteland of the psyche, delivering their mind bending riffs in a package oh-so heavy and sweet in a (more or less futile) attempt to help us all find the missing pieces and numb us out.

Closing the night will be indie legends Mondogreen. With full intent to make our hearts ache and legs shake, Mondo's juicy tone and sexy groove will be the perfect cream and cherry to both anchor and top off a line up of pure, hard hitting original Hamilton Music. I personally can't wait for another taste of that raspberry cola.
