The INDIE TAKEOVER is a one off event featuring local acts Lewis Parke, The Haizys and StupidSayWHAT!? playing back to back at renowned venue ‘A Rolling Stone’. One hell of a sound system and engineer might I add.
Lewis Parke is an emerging indie songwriter from the Christchurch area, the act features Lewis’s lush vocals and intricate guitarwork alongside Ralph Hall’s delicate percussion. They just played their first headline show last month which sold out, if you’re into indie with a polished pop bite, this one’s for you. This emerging duo is not one to miss live! @lewisparkemusic
The Haizys are an indie/alt-rock band that have been together for over five years - they write guitar-driven music that gets the crowd going wild. They take inspiration from all different types of music, from Ocean Alley to Shihad. They’ve played the likes of ‘The Butlers’ to ‘Bootleg Rascal’ across house parties to venues and even the Town Hall. @thehaizys
StupidSaysWHAT!? are an independent pop-punk band, known for their early 2000’s aesthetic and emo sound. With a catalog of iconic covers and fresh yet nostalgic originals, their set is guaranteed to get you dancing! They just released a new single titled “Evelin” and are dropping more singles throughout the year. @stupidsayswhatband
