The Undercurrent presents Hannah Simpson!

Hannah Simpson is a life-long performer who wows her audiences with her soaring vocals, unexpected tumbling melodies and unique, soulful lyrics weaving love and politics together. With a full band she will be bringing her new album ‘Uncharted Waters’ to life featuring Hannah on vocals, piano, guitar, and flute; Vorn Colgan on the bass, trombone, accordion, violin; Linda Joy on vocals and trumpet; and Sam Tattersfield on something.

Hannah was the shining star of Cherry's Gemstones punkedalic group who released and sold out a six track EP 'Love in the Dreamscape Matrix Reality' in 2006. They toured the nation twice, opened at the Wellington town hall with raving teen and adult fans and featured at numerous events. More highlights of Hannah's musical career include featuring in a More FM event, leading 'High Resonators' as a house electronic duo, singing for the Capital Gospel band in 2015, and playing with the Avalanches in Paraparaumu, to mention a few! In England she performed at The Arts House, The Duke, Left Bank and Golden Lion venues in Bristol. She also had a residency at the Elbow Room, the Boston Tea Party Café and did a stint as a trapeze artist! The amazing range of colourful projects Hannah has been involved in over the years bear witness to her talent, versatility and dedication to music.
