FRIENDS FIRST (A Queer Night by CHURCH)

Friends First is our more low-key, social gathering — a space to meet, sit, talk & flirt. It’s still a party, just not the underground, lights-down version you know from CHURCH.

Set inside Ghost Donkey, the vibe leans bar over club. Come early for dinner, grab a cocktail, settle into a booth, or gather around tables with your people. The drinks are strong, the tequila and mezcal list goes deep, and the energy builds naturally as the night unfolds.

There is a dancefloor — and it fills up.
But it’s the kind you step onto when the moment feels right, not because you have to.
Music moves through hip hop, R&B, reggaeton, afrobeats, salsa — with plenty of 90s & 2000s hits in the mix.

The space is fully ours — private, welcoming, and wheelchair accessible. Tucked away inside Commercial Bay (a little mission to find, but worth it), with fairy lights overhead.

This is for everyone — all generations of our community are welcome. Whether you’re new, seasoned, or somewhere in between, you’ll find your place here.

We love our big CHURCH nights.
But Friends First — or “little church,” as some of you have started calling it — is where we come to land, before or beyond the dancefloor.
