The Spectre Collective - Flamingo Release Show (w/ Horn and Bone Chapel)
Wellington psych freaks The Spectre Collective are flying to the MOON to celebrate the release of their wild new music video FLAMINGO, an animated spectacle painstakingly drawn frame by frame in short bursts over 5 years. The video unleashes a torrent of visually striking, grotesque psychedelia set in an apocalyptic avian wasteland. Flamingo is the first single from their 6th album ‘Psychic Animals’ due for release later this year.
The multi-genre cohort is made up of Will Agnew, Jonathan Shirley (Goya, Soft Plastics), Lochie Noble (Crossing Water, Mirror Ritual) and Oliver Devlin (Hans Pucket). Their sound is rife with anxiety and paranoia, exploring everything from warped time signatures, mischievous catchy grooves, bubbly psych pop, dreamy sci-fi dance numbers and abrasive horror soundscapes.
Joining them on their carnival of chaos are the pensive fuzz tones of HORN and the granular textural beats of BONE CHAPEL.
Doors at 8pm. Tickets $15 via UTR (+ booking fee)
