Join Wellington trip-hop trio Tragedies in celebrating the release of their upcoming single 'Taupiri'. Coming from the reo Maori word for 'a loving embrace', Taupiri is a queer love song for the end of the world that celebrates the small moments of bliss carved out of dark times. Tragedies' blend of trip-hop, alt-rock and post-punk explores the overlap of beauty and horror with ethereal harmonies, haunting melodies and moments of heavy industrial grit that invite the listener to be vulnerable and revel in the tragedies and triumphs of life.
